Malachite is found in Russia, Zaire, Australia, Namibia, South Africa, Germany, Romania, Chile, Mexico and the U.S. In the U.S., localities include Juab County Utah, Morenci, Greenlee, Globe, Gila, Ajo and Pima counties, Arizona; Grant and Socorro counties in New Mexico.
